The Arizona Cardinals already were against the odds to take down the Baltimore Ravens but they may be without one of their offensive weapons for the rest of the game. According to Adam Schefter, David Johnson is questionable to return against the Ravens due to a wrist injury.

The Cardinals running back sustained the injury near the end of the first quarter. Johnson's last run gained two yards and he came off of the field after the play.

On a positive note, he did return to the sideline in uniform.

When fans in Arizona hear that it's a wrist injury, they immediately think of the wrist injury that cost Johnson 15 games in 2017. The wrist injury that he sustained in 2017 was considered to be serious and it could become a nagging one.

Therefore, there is some reasonable concern surrounding Johnson with the chance that he re-injured his wrist. The Cardinals are reliant upon Johnson to create for their offense so his loss will be devastating.

Under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury, the dynamic running back has returned to being utilized as a receiver again. In 2016, when Bruce Arians was calling the offense, Johnson had 80 receptions for 879 yards and four touchdowns.

Last week, Arizona focused on getting their dual-threat back the ball in both facets of their offense. Furthermore, Johnson ran it 18 times for 82 yards; while also catching six passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.

If Johnson is required to miss any time, second-year running back Chase Edmonds would likely see an uptick in touches.

Edmonds has yet to start in an NFL game with just 60 carries in 2018.
