St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Miles Mikolas already has plans for the All-Star break, but unfortunately, he will now have to reschedule and adjust them.

After all, Mikolas needs to head to Los Angeles real soon as he takes part in the MLB All-Star Game scheduled on Tuesday. The Cardinals right-hander has been named as a replacement in the annual showcase, filling in for  Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes.

Prior to being named an All-Star, Mikolas shared his detailed plan to spend the break with his wife and kids. While it's not totally canceled, it seems they will have to tweak some things now. Or maybe they can have a vacation in LA after the All-Star showdown?

“I'm gonna spend a lot of quality time with the wife and kids. They just got sleeping bags for their birthday, so we'll do like an in-house campout slumber party,” Mikolas said, per Bally Sports Midwest.

It's more than likely Miles Mikolas' wife and children will understand the situation. We bet they'll even be thrilled about seeing the Cardinals pitcher play at Dodgers Stadium alongside the biggest stars in the MLB.

Mikolas' selection is just the second All-Star berth of his career, and it's deserving recognition to say the least. He ranks in the top five in the National League when it comes to ERA and WHIP anyway. And for the Cardinals, his presence means St. Louis will be well-represented with five players, joining the likes of Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado, Albert Pujols and Ryan Helsley.
