Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens just let a huge secret slip out. The 44-year-old shot-caller just threw star point guard Kemba Walker under the bus by revealing Walker's real height.

Walker, who is officially listed at 6'0″, appears to be a tad shorter than that. Stevens was engaged in a serious conversation about Walker's current subpar form for the Celtics when he accidentally revealed the point guard's actual height:

“We watched a bunch of clips today and everybody had been asking about Kemba’s struggles and nobody is putting more pressure on himself than Kemba, right?” Stevens said, defending Walker (h/t Celtics reporter Alexnadra Francisco of NESN).

“But we all can do better for Kemba. We can deliver the ball when it needs to be delivered to him and screen better for him. We can execute better so when the ball gets to the second side he’s got a little bit more space. If you don’t have any of that stuff, if you’re 5-foot-10, it’s hard. Or 5-foot-11, it’s hard.

“I don’t know what he’s listed at, I probably just threw him under the bus there and let out the most obvious secret in the world right?”

Oops, Celtics fans will say.

You might say that it's just a matter of an inch or two, but for NBA players on the Celtics or anyone else, there's a huge difference from being 6-feet and anything less than that — regardless if it's just “an inch or two.”

Walker's current struggles have little to do with his height, though. A preseason injury has prevented him from finding his form for Boston this term. He has played only 10 games so far this season for the Celtics, putting up averages of 15.0 points (on 34.2 percent shooting), 3.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 steals, while connecting on 2.2 triples on a 30.6-percent clip.

5-foot-11 or 6-foot-flat, Walker has to be much better in the coming weeks if he hopes to help the Celtics improve their standing in the Eastern Conference.
