At this point, it's all but certain that Kyrie Irving is on his way out of the Boston Celtics once he officially hits free agency within the next few days. There appears to be no hard feelings for head coach Brad Stevens, who stated that he hopes his star point guard finds success wherever his path may take him:

“I want Kyrie to find happiness,” Stevens says, via Jackie MacMullan of ESPN. “If he does move on, I wish him nothing but good health and success. I saw a lot of great qualities in him.”

The relationship between Irving and the Celtics has been at an all-time low following another disappointing end to the season. The six-time All-Star point guard took a lot of flak throughout the season, and his apparent non-commitment to the organization certainly did him no favors.

The Brooklyn Nets have emerged as frontrunners to sign Irving this summer, as he appears set to become the new face of the franchise moving forward. However, there are still other teams reportedly in the mix, including the likes of the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers.

As for Stevens and the Celtics, it looks like they've already moved on from Irving, and have handpicked fellow incoming free agent Kemba Walker as his replacement. It seems like this is going to be a win-win situation for all parties involved, and at the end of the day, everyone's going to get what they truly want.
