Boston Celtics legend Danny Ainge recently stepped down from his role as president of the C's as he embarks on his next journey in the basketball world. In the process, he's selling his ridiculous Wellesley mansion that is listed for a whopping $4.5 million. Crazy part? He purchased it in 2003 for just $2.3 million. Talk about making your money's worth.

The former Celtics guard was living in quite the home. 8,300 square feet with a theater, indoor gym, basketball court, and countless framed jerseys. It's unknown at this point where he will end up next, but there have been rumors swirling that the Mavericks could be pursuing Ainge in a front-office role.

While the house hasn't sold yet, this is a clear indication that he is officially leaving town. Ainge spent 18 years as a higher-up with the Celtics and eight years as a player. Brad Stevens stepped down as the head coach and has now replaced Ainge as president of basketball operations.

The Celtics found a replacement for Stevens on Wednesday as well after hiring former Nets assistant Ime Udoka. It seems likely that Danny Ainge will have another job very, very soon given his experience and expertise. And whoever ends up purchasing his estate is going to be one lucky person because damn, it's beautiful. Good luck to Ainge after a very successful stint with the Celtics, even though it ended after an injury-riddled campaign.
