Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward has been dealing with a left foot injury for over a month. The former Butler Bulldog has undergone two MRI's, the most recent of which showed no structural damage, according to a report from Jay King of The Athletic.
Brad Stevens said Gordon Hayward’s MRI revealed nothing structural. His issue isn’t supposed to be a long-term concern.

Hayward is currently listed as day-to-day with the ailment and has already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Grant Williams and Brad Wanamaker will likely continue to see increased workloads until Hayward is well enough to return to action.
The fact that Hayward has no structural damage is great news for the Celtics, who have played their way to an 18-7 overall record through the first quarter of this season. He has made 11 appearances with the team in this campaign, racking up averages of 17.5 points on 55.6 percent shooting from the field (39.5 percent from beyond the arc), 6.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in 30.6 minutes per outing.
Celtics president Danny Ainge recently noted that Hayward's foot injury is more towards his toe. Given his importance to the rotation, the team will likely take a cautious approach to his return.
Danny Ainge on @Toucherandrich says Gordon Hayward’s foot issue is near the toe but calls him day-to-day as they try to alleviate the discomfort that has lingered.
