If there's any team in the league in need of some changes ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline on Tuesday, it's the Boston Celtics. Jaylen Brown understands that but reiterated his goal to cancel out the noise and just continue finding ways to help his team win.

The Celtics All-Star made this clear shortly after his team dismantled the Sacramento Kings, 107-96 at TD Garden on Friday. When asked about any potential moves, the All-Star had this to say:

“My job is to just come out and play basketball and inspire guys to play hard and compete to win,” Brown said, via Sean T. McGuire of NESN.com.

“I haven’t done a good job with that. And that’s something that has been a challenge. Now for me, I accept that challenge, I’ve accepted that challenge at the beginning of the year, so ultimately, I’ve got to do a better job of being a leader.”

After a strong start to the 2020-21 campaign, the Cs have surprisingly fallen off from the top four of the much-improved Eastern Conference Standings following a string of lackluster performances. Despite their easy win over the Kings, the Celtics are now below .500 with a 20-21 slate and are barely hanging on to the eighth seed as of writing.

Rumors that the Celtics are primed to make a huge move before the deadline has remained rampant. Heck, even Jaylen Brown's name hasn't been spared from trade talks, despite the blockbuster season he's enjoying right now. The 24-year-old swingman, however, is indeed wise beyond his years and managed to beautifully side-step when asked his take about his team's supposed trade activity in the coming days.

One thing's for sure, Brown and the Celtics do need all the help they can get at the moment in a bid to shake off this funk they're in right now.
