The Boston Celtics picked up a 126-110 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 on Thursday night to take a 2-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. And while Jayson Tatum wasn't always having his best night on the floor, he made quite a fashion statement with his sneaker choice for the game, and it was much to the delight of Chicago Sky guard Dana Evans.

Tatum has been repping different color ways of his own signature “Tatum 2” shoe with Nike for much of the postseason, and he continued that trend in a unique way on Thursday night. When he took the floor for Game 2, he was wearing Evans' player exclusive version of the Tatum 2, and when she caught wind of this move, she shouted out Tatum on social media.

For the first half of this game, Tatum didn't exactly do these shoes justice, as he had just four points on 2/8 shooting. He turned things around in the second half, though, and ended up finishing with a solid stat line when all was said and done (23 PTS, 6 REB, 5 AST, 9/20 FGM). His teammate Jaylen Brown's 40-point outburst will likely get most of the attention, but Tatum put together a solid body of work too.

In the WNBA, Evans had a solid game to help the Sky hand the New York Liberty their first loss of the season. The stakes obviously aren't as high compared to what Tatum is playing in currently, but it was solid outing from Evans as she takes on a starting role in Chicago's backcourt this season (12 PTS, 4 AST, 2 REB, 5/14 FGM).

Evans got her own custom version of Tatum's new signature shoe that wasn't made available to the public for sale, so it must have been pretty cool for her to see Tatum repping her version of the sneaker in a nationally televised game. After receiving a shoutout of sorts from Tatum through him wearing the shoe, she repaid the favor on social media after her game against the Liberty wrapped up.

Tatum was probably hoping to get off to a better start in these shoes, as his cold start made things more difficult for the Celtics. Luckily for him, Brown and the rest of his teammates picked up the slack early on, and it gave him enough time to eventually find his way into the game, where Tatum sent the Pacers packing down the stretch.

It will be interesting to see what shoes Tatum comes up repping for Game 3 of this series, and while this was a cool shoutout for Evans, chances are he will be changing things up as Boston attempts to take a commanding 3-0 series lead over Indiana. It's pretty neat to see Evans' version of the shoe get some recognition from Tatum, though, and chances are it won't be the last time that happens.
