Grant Williams stepped up big time for the Boston Celtics in their Game 7 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, but Jayson Tatum had a funny warning for him after his performance.

The 23-year-old forward scored 27 points in the contest, but he also shot the most among any other Celtics player in the game with 22 attempts. Knowing this fact, Tatum joked that his teammate shouldn't get used to it.

“I told him don’t get used to that,” Tatum on what he told Williams after the 109-81 win, per Jay King of The Athletic.

All jokes aside, though, Jayson Tatum didn't forget to give Grant Williams the credit he deserves for helping the Celtics win. Without him, the game would have been close, especially with Giannis Antetokounmpo dominating the glass for the Bucks.

The Bucks let the Celtics take several of their shots from deep, and it was Williams who took advantage of it the most.

“Grant won us a playoff game. A Game 7,” Tatum added.

Sure enough, Boston will need the same kind of performance from Williams when they face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. Like the Celtics, the Heat are a well-balanced team that can make damage on both offense and defense, and so role players like Williams will be critical in the series.

Certainly, however, Williams and the rest of the Celtics are brimming with confidence right now after taking down the reigning champions.
