Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum has paid all sorts of tributes to Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant throughout the 2022 playoffs. Now, he's back at it again.

In Game 7 of the East Finals against the Miami Heat, he wore a purple armband with the no. 24 on it. This time, ahead of Game 2 of their NBA Finals showdown with the Golden State Warriors, he was spotted wearing a practice gear similar to the one Bryant wore back in 1996 when he worked out for Boston before the NBA Draft.

According to team reporter Taylor Snow who shared the photo on Twitter, the last time the Celtics used the logo on the gear was back in 1996. So for those asking if it's Boston's current workout gear, it isn't.

Kobe Bryant was a huge inspiration for Jayson Tatum, and he served as a mentor to the Celtics youngster ever since he came into the league.

While the Lakers icon was gone too soon, Tatum is making sure he's honoring his legacy and remembering what he has done for him and the league.

Now that they are in the NBA Finals as well, fans are certainly hoping Tatum channels his Mamba Mentality to beat the Golden State Warriors. They already won Game 1, and it looks like the 24-year-old forward is ready to strike again in Game 2.
