Jayson Tatum has led the charge for the Boston Celtics. His leadership and exceptional play has led to them being one game away from knocking off Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets through three games.

Tatum has come a long way in becoming a vocal leader for his Celtics squad. Asked about his message to his club, the All-Star revealed exactly the mindset he wants his teammates to embody.

Via Jared Weiss:

“My message is nobody plays harder than we do,” said Jayson Tatum on his message to his Celtics teammates. “We are the hardest playing team in the league, 1 through 15. We all got each other's backs When I step on the floor, I’m trying to set the tone.

The Celtics have thrived as a defensive juggernaut this season. They have some excellent defensive pieces in DPOY Marcus Smart, center Robert Williams, and the ever-savvy veteran Al Horford, but they take it to another level in large part through energy and effort. That's why even a 35-year-old Horford could be seen diving for loose balls.

“When Al’s diving on the floor, there's no excuse for me or JB,” Tatum continued.

The Boston Celtics are simply outworking an equally talented Nets side through three games this series. Jayson Tatum is making sure they don't let up.
