With the way the series has gone between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics, the Beantown team's players have had a lot of reason to trash talk.

During Game 3 of their series, Jayson Tatum went up for a monster tomahawk slam but before being able to complete it was fouled. On the broadcast, Tatum can be heard telling Embiid “You got Lucky” a few times.

During the Celtics' practice on Sunday, Tatum was asked about the trash talk, and he said it was all a joke, and that he is actually pretty good friends with the 76ers big man.

“[Jaylen Brown] got the offensive rebound, and he passed to me cutting through the lane, and I knew Embiid was coming. I just tried to catch him slipping real quick,” Tatum said via Chris Forsberg of ESPN. “I don't really talk trash, and I was just joking. Me and [Embiid] got the same trainer, so we know each other pretty well. We've joked a lot in those games whenever we play each other.”

Embiid has always been known as a big trash talker, so it's not always the worst thing when someone feeds it back to him a little bit.

After the game, Embiid told the media that he wanted to trash talk him back, but to be able to trash talk you need to win a game or two first.

“Hopefully we beat him so I got something to say,” Embiid said.

The Celtics and 76ers will next face off in Game 4 on Monday night.
