Already playing without Al Horford and Gordon Hayward, the Boston Celtics lineup could further be depleted as Jayson Tatum may miss their game on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. An MRI was done on his injured ankle, which came back negative for any structural damage, however, he still remains questionable to see action in their next outing.

This is a huge blow to the Celtics, who are currently playing very well and have a 10-game winning streak going. Tatum suffered the injury in the first half of their match versus the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, and was forced to sit out the last two quarters. The Duke product has started his rookie year strong, with solid averages of 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 29.8 minutes per game.

Jaylen Brown and Marcus Morris could see an uptick in their usage should Tatum miss Friday's matchup. It's also possible that Marcus Smart will see an uptick in his minutes as well, if Brad Stevens will opt to field in a small lineup during some stretches.

If there's any silver lining for the C's despite the injury to the third overall pick of last June's draft, it does not look like he will miss a lot of games, and that the team could just be taking a cautious approach to not aggravate his ankle's condition.
