It looks like Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving is growing up right in front of our eyes.

While Irving still doesn't like how the media creates unnecessary drama at times, the All-Star guard admits he needs to handle things better so that the future stars of the league don't mimic his actions.

Kyrie has said a lot of controversial things this season, but it appears he's learning from his own mistakes and owning up to them. Uncle Drew is maturing and it's really good to see.

“Being one of the top guys in the league, this all comes with it,” Kyrie Irving told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “It’s a responsibility that I have to make sure that I know who I’m doing this for and know why I’m doing this. It’s for the players that are coming behind me who will be in this league and setting an example for them on how to handle things and how to evolve within your career.”

Irving is learning what it takes to become a leader of a championship-caliber team on the fly. During his time in Cleveland, Irving didn't have to lead as much since the Cavs had LeBron James on the team.

But now that he's the best player on his team, Irving has had to deal with all the things James had to go through in Cleveland.
