The Boston Celtics lost their 2-0 series lead against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round after falling prey to the Bucks in Games 3 and 4. The Celtics have every reason to feel bitter about their recent struggles to win, especially after the NBA released its Last 2 Minutes report for Game 4 of the series.

The report states that Celtics forward Jaylen Brown should have netted a foul from Bucks swingman Khris Middleton as he was making his way to the basket for a layup attempt with under a minute left in regulation, per Tom Westerholm of Masslive.com.

According to the NBA, Khris Middleton should have been called for a foul in the final minute as Jaylen Brown drove to the basket in transition, with the Celtics leading by a point.

Had a foul was called on Middleton, it could have greatly changed the complexion of the contest to the Celtics’ favor. The play in question happened when there were only 42.8 seconds left on the game clock with Boston still up by a point. With Middleton avoiding a foul call, the Bucks were able to score on the other end of the floor with Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon draining a corner 3-point shot to give Milwaukee a two-point lead, 102-100.

Jaylen Brown, meanwhile,  reacted to the Wersterholm’s report with an emoji.

Boston can’t spend too much time sulking about the non-call, as they look to regain the series lead this Tuesday at home.

The Celtics have won six of their last seven games at TD Garden.
