There's some good news, and then there's some bad news. It's a mixed bag for the Boston Celtics as they face off against the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.

The Celtics have released their official injury report and Marcus Smart is nowhere to be found. Robert Williams, on the other hand, has been tagged as questionable (h/t Celtics on Twitter):

Smart was initially questionable as well with a lingering ankle injury, so it's definitely a welcome development for the Celtics that he's going to be suiting up for Game 1. Boston needs the Defensive Player of the Year against the Warriors' firepower.

As for Williams, though, the 24-year-old played just 14 minutes in Boston‘s Game 7 win over the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, and this could have something to do with his knee issue. Be that as it may, Williams is one tough cookie and there's a real chance that he still ends up playing on Thursday. Williams deserves a lot of credit for admirably working his way back to action after undergoing surgery on a torn meniscus on his left knee toward the end of the regular season, but it sounds like it's beginning to take its toll on him.
