It has been a while since the TD Garden has been treated with some good old low-post prowess courtesy of Hall of Famer Kevin McHale. Tacko Fall, meanwhile, tried his best to replicate the Boston Celtics legend on Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets.

While Fall doesn't exactly get the minutes and the touches that McHale had in his heyday, he took advantage of his rare playing time by bullying the smaller Nick Richards down low.

The 25-year-old Senegalese giant took his sweet time in the post, flailed his elbows several times before finishing with an up-and-under ala McHale. Looks like Fall even wanted an and-one on that play, and maybe the Celtics youngster should have gotten it after taking some contact from the Hornets' help defender.

Sure, Tacko Fall's ball-handling and footwork were  not as graceful as McHale's was (far from it actually), but he should get some style points for this one, right?

That turned out to be the 7-foot-5 center's only field goal of the evening in the Celtics' dominating 116-86 victory. The blowout allowed Fall to see the floor for five minutes, tallying three points and three rebounds.

Of course, those are far from Kevin McHale's numbers, who averaged 17.9 points and 7.3 rebounds in his storied 13-year run with the Celtics.
