With the Boston Celtics recently announcing their decision to send rookie big man Tacko Fall to the G League, it appears that the 23-year-old is more than ready to take on the challenge. When asked about the physical play in the G League, Fall seemed unfazed, and even sent out a warning for those who might be thinking of being overly physical with him.

“If you’re going to do it,” Fall said, via Sean Deveney of Heavy.com, “be ready because it’s not going to go your way.”

That's a pretty fair warning from the undrafted rookie, who has actually been killing it for the Maine Red Claws of late. On Sunday, Fall and company secured a 129-115 victory against the Raptors 905. The 7-foot-5 big man was very impressive in this one, going a pristine 9-of-9 form the field en route to a noteworthy 21-point performance. He also added five rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and three turnovers in 24 minutes of action.

Despite his meteoric rise to fame as a crowd favorite (some have even labeled him as the new Boban Morjanovic), Fall has failed to establish himself in Celtics head coach Brad Stevens' rotation. The former Central Florida standout has only played a grand total of four minutes for Boston this season, logging four points and three rebounds in his brief cameo.

Fall is not expected to re-join the Celtics anytime soon, with the team opting to have the youngster cut his teeth in the G League. However, an injury in any member of Boston's frontcourt could lead to a call-up for him, so surely, Fall is just keeping himself ready.
