The Tacko Fall era in Boston is officially over. The Celtics big man signed a one-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, marking an end to his time in Beantown.

The usually soft-spoken Fall took to Twitter to vocalize his appreciation to Boston and all the Celtics fans who cheered him on throughout his two-year run in green.

“Words cannot express how much I have enjoyed playing in Boston these last 2 years,” said Fall. “It was both a blessing and an honor. I’ll forever be grateful for all the love and support I have received in my time here. That being said I’m really pumped about this new chapter in my journey and can’t wait to get to work in Cleveland!”

After going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, the Boston Celtics took a flier on the beloved big man who made waves during that year's NCAA tournament, serving as the defensive juggernaut that upset Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and the heavily-favored Duke Blue Devils.

Fall played in just 26 games for the Celtics through two seasons, but always got the fans excited whenever he took the court. He averaged 2.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in just 6.5 minutes per contest while shooting an astonishingly high 74.4% from the field.
