Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier turned down any rumors of beef between him and Milwaukee Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe, after the latter was asked about the former during a post-game interview.
“I got no bad blood with nobody,” said Rozier. “Everybody out here to play basketball, there's no boxers or none of that.”
“I'm not really worried about that, I'm not caught up in that. I'm worried about Celtics and Bucks. How can I help my team get past the first round.”
Bledsoe, who is quiet in nature, pretended not to know who Rozier was, asking “who?” when the name was brought up to his attention and Rozier later responded by saying calling Eric Bledsoe by former NFL pro-bowler's name — Drew Bledsoe.
Rozier admitted he made “a huge mistake” with that blunder, saying “it is what it is” — looking to move on from the situation.
The 24-year-old has sparked his team to two home wins to get a 2-0 lead in the series with two 23-point outings, providing that scoring punch that starter Kyrie Irving has brought to the table all season long.
With Irving out for the rest of the postseason, the Celtics await on Marcus Smart, though they seem to be doing just fine on their own through these first two games, facing the real test on the road on Friday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center for Game 3.
