Tristan Thompson is the newest addition to the Boston Celtics, a team that was only a couple of wins away from making the NBA Finals in 2020.

Thompson gives the Celtics mobility at the center position, rebounding, physicality, toughness, and defense. With Daniel Theis as the lone rotation center prior to Thompson, the position was the only real question mark in that Celtics lineup.

Thompson talked out about the championship atmosphere he's seeing in Boston. He goes on to say that the Celtics are receiving ‘top tier team' treatment, per Gage Nutter of Masslive.com.

“In Cleveland I remember there were times where, whether we were Eastern Conference champs or finalists, we got everyone’s best punch every night,” said Thompson. “Here with the Celtics, it’s a similar situation.

Thompson is definitely on to something.

The Beantown squad owns one of the most well-rounded rosters in the NBA, placing it among the top contenders in the Eastern Conference.

With a star-studded lineup that includes Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kemba Walker, and Marcus Smart, the Celtics have the ability to beat any team in a seven-game series.

Whoever plays the Celtics will not only have their hands full with their talented roster but will also be giving the Eastern Conference's top team their best shot.

Currently, Boston is 3-3, sitting at the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference. As the season progresses, the team should climb the standings and finish as a top-four seed.
