The Boston Celtics took on the Portland Trail Blazers in a matinee contest at home, hours prior to the New England Patriots taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.
The Celtics' were shorthanded tonight, taking on the Blazers without Kyrie Irving, Shane Larkin, Marcus Smart, and Marcus Morris in the lineup. That meant it was time for the young guys, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, as well as veterans Al Horford and Terry Rozier to step up and help Boston to a win.
Midway though the second quarter, Horford brought the ball up court before putting on the jets and driving towards the rim. With Just Nurkic contesting, Horford elevated over him and threw down a monstrous dunk over the Blazers center.
Horford would later hit a game-winning, turnaround jumpshot at the right elbow to give the Celtics a 97-96 win. The big man finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and 2 blocks.
