The Boston Celtics continue to click on all cylinders despite the absence of star point guard Kyrie Irving. They managed to pull out another nailbiter in their 97-94 win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.

Among the notable performances was that of small forward Jayson Tatum. With just over a minute left in the game, Tatum finished off a stellar fastbreak with a dunk over small forward Joe Ingles, per NBA Twitter:

The poster of Ingles was just what the Celtics needed to help swing the momentum in their favor in front of a hostile Jazz crowd. Needless to say, Boston would finish in spectacular fashion with a game-winning three-pointer from shooting guard Jaylen Brown.

Tatum finished the game with 16 points on 6-of-15 shooting while going 2-for-3 from the three-point line. Although it was not the most efficient game for the rookie, he managed to make his presence felt on both sides of the floor with two blocks and two steals. Meanwhile, Brown led the team with 21 points on an efficient 6-of-10 while hitting all three of his shots from deep — including the most important one. He also enjoyed a solid all-around game with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals as well.

With Irving out, both Tatum and Brown have had to step up and lead the team over the last few weeks. Fortunately, they have done a remarkable job after having now won six out of their last eight games in his absence. More importantly, they have managed to remain within striking distance of the Toronto Raptors for that coveted No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
