Boston Celtics big man Robert Williams did not get the message.

Williams hilariously stated that his favorite holiday movie was “any Michael Myers movie” during a Celtics promotional clip. He caught the fade from teammate Jaylen Brown:

Of course, the premise was supposed to be “holiday” movies with respect to either Christmas time or Hanukkah. Halloween was nearly two months ago, after all.

The clips is all the more hilarious considering most of the other films that were referenced are comedic in nature, while Williams decided to give fans a glimpse into his affinity for horror during the season of joy.

Williams himself has had a far less scary start to his 2019-20 campaign. The second-year big man out of Texas A&M played in just 32 games and averaged under nine minutes per game last season, but he is averaging over 14 minutes per game this year for a Celtic team that relies on depth in the front court.

The 22-year-old has capitalized on the increased time, averaging 1.2 offensive rebounds (4.6 boards total) and 1.1 blocks per game despite the limited action. Williams has solidified himself as one of the more fearsome rim protectors in the NBA. He has tremendous length and athleticism, and he is an excellent help-side defender.

While the argument could be made that the Celtics miss Al Horford's all-around game, Daniel Theis, Enes Kanter and Williams have made up for his loss in the aggregate. What Kanter and Theis may lack in defending, Williams makes up for in spades.

Not to mention, Williams' humor value is irreplaceable.
