The Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for a Wild Card round clash on Sunday night. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger made some shocking comments about his team's chances against the Chiefs. On the other end of the spectrum, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid made a surprisingly bold claim in his praise of Mike Tomlin's Steelers, via Joe Rutter of TRIBLive.com.

“If you have a chance to play that team again, you have to start from scratch,” he said. “Especially if that team is playing so well. These guys are playing like a No. 1 seed right now. We have to make sure we are ready for that.”

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid believes that Mike Tomlin's Steelers are “playing like a no. 1 seed right now.” That is quite a bold statement from Reid, especially considering that Kansas City put a beatdown on Pittsburgh earlier this season, at one point holding a 30-0 lead over the Steelers.

However, Reid feels that the Steelers, who just barely beat non-playoff teams in the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens, are playing like the top team in the conference under Tomlin's leadership.

Either the Chiefs head coach really feels that way, or he is utilizing a Jedi-mind trick made popular by New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick: praise the other team endlessly and don't give them any bulletin board material.

Either way, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid isn't taking Mike Tomlin's Steelers for granted ahead of their playoff matchup.
