A Los Angeles Clippers fan took a shot to get American rapper Saweeti on a date. Unfortunately for the guy, he airballed.

In a recent Clippers game that Saweetie attended, one fan asked her out on a date and recorded it on video. However, perhaps shocked with the sudden proposal, the popular artist only responded with “boy” to reject the idea before walking out.

Being a good sport (and not really expecting something from his gesture), the guy simply said “she's not messing with it” at the end of the video.

But hey, props to the Clippers fans for shooting his shot. After all, he would never know which shot would go in had he not tried. We should also give credit to Saweetie for how she handled the proposal.

For what it's worth, maybe the Clippers fan was motivated by the team Mascot Chuck the Condor who was able to get a dance with Saweetie early in the game? Saweetie gave Chuck the moment of his life as they took the court (only on the sidelines though) and danced together.

Maybe the Clippers fan should wear a Chuck the Condor mask or costume next time he asks Saweetie for a date? Or maybe he should ask her to a dance first? Maybe he'll get a second chance when Saweetie attends the next LA game.
