The Los Angeles Clippers possess arguably the most formidable second unit in the entire league, and this is thanks in large part to the duo of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell. Both guys have been instrumental in LA's strong start to the season, and at this point, both are already in contention for this season's Sixth Man of the Year award.

For his part, Williams — the two-time defending Sixth Man of the Year winner — does not mind at all if it were Harrell who were to take away his crown and deny him a third straight award and fourth overall:

Harrell has been an absolute beast for the Clippers this season, currently averaging a career-high 19.0 points (on 57.4 percent shooting), 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 29.3 minutes per game off the bench.

As for Williams, he has been his usual self, logging 19.9 points (on 41.5 percent shooting), 3.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 0.5 steals in 30.7 minutes per game while also connecting on 1.9 3-pointers per context on a 36.8 percent clip.

Right now, both guys are very much deserving of bagging the Sixth Man of the Year award. More importantly, they have helped their team to very impressive 21-8 record to start the season. That's good for the second spot in a ruthless Western Conference, bettered only by the league-best Los Angeles Lakers (24-4).

The battle of Los Angeles has definitely lived up to all the hype, and we're in store for a very competitive season ahead in Hollywood. Both Williams and Harrell will be in the center of what should be an extremely interesting tussle in
