This year's Battle for Los Angeles did not disappoint AT ALL. The Lakers and the Clippers engaged in a duel that went down to the wire. In the end, though, it was the Clips that prevailed, as a clutch bucket by Reggie Jackson sealed the win for them. (via NBA TV)

Down by 1 with around 12 seconds to go in the game, the Clippers badly needed a shot. They were missing both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, and they needed to keep the ship afloat while they recovered. To stay in this game against a Lakers team with Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis is already an unbelievable accomplishment.

It was Reggie Jackson, the hero of last year's playoff run, that sealed the win for the Clippers with his game-winner. The wily guard capitalized on Westbrook and Austin Reaves' miscommunication, spinning into the paint for a floater that put them up by 1 with four seconds left. The Lakers would ultimately try to win it at the buzzer, but they failed.

The Clippers hold on to the eighth spot in the Western Conference: enough for them to make the play-in tournament at least. With Kawhi still out for the foreseeable future and George still recovering, they need everyone to step up big time every game. For one game, we saw just how resilient this Clips team is against all odds. This win is immensely valuable, and could potentially be the difference in them making the playoffs or not this year.

Can the Clippers continue this momentum as the season progresses?
