The Los Angeles Clippers have not yet solved their Luka Doncic problem, but they are not too concerned about it. After all, that's part of their plan.

In the Clippers' Game 3 win over the Dallas Mavericks to cut the lead down to 2-1, Doncic put up 44 points. However, that wasn't enough as the likes of Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jalen Brunson failed to step up on the offensive end to counter LA.

Now, Lue opened up about their strategy for the contest and admitted that it was their plan all along to let Luka score and just limit the other players around him, per Andrew Greif of the Los Angeles Times.

Obviously, that plan worked like magic. Despite Luka Doncic's top-scoring performance so far, the Mavs simply had no answer to the Clippers' balanced offense led by Kawhi  Leonard and Paul George.

In hindsight, Luka's 8-0 personal run that led to an 11-point first quarter could have been intended to get him worked up and tired early. The Clippers possibly let him attack and just responded on the other end while making sure the other Mavs won't get their rhythm.

For what it's worth, Porzingis just had nine points in Game 3, while Hardaway was limited to only 12 points after making 49 points in the first two contests of the series.

The Mavs are expected to make some key adjustments in Game 4, but most importantly, they will need the other players to step up and help the ailing Luka. If not, the Clippers will likely exploit that huge weakness once again.
