Once again, Activision's actions stirred up rumors that a mobile version of Call of Duty Warzone is in development.

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Version in the works?

Activision job listings on Linkedin made fans speculate about a potential Call of Duty Warzone mobile version. The job listing searches for new members of Activision Mobile, hiring globally. “Activision Mobile has put up new roles!” the post reads. “Teams are focused on Live Operations and content expansion across Call of Duty.” Apart from Call of Duty Mobile, Activision Mobile doesn't have any major projects that will warrant this volume of hiring. One example of these open positions includes one for ‘Engine Programmer – Mobile.‘ “Activision Publishing is currently looking for an Engine Programmer to join the Mobile Team to work on a new mobile title.”

These job listings have drawn the attention of fans. Is the new mobile title mentioned in these job listings related to a Warzone Mobile version? While there has been no official confirmation yet, this scenario has a good chance of being true.

Just about a year ago, Activision stirred the rumor mills as well. This happened when they opened a job listing for an Executive Producer, Features (WZM). WZM in this case would have possibly meant Warzone Mobile, and fans got hopeful. However, any word about a potential mobile port for the popular battle royale game has not been made public up to today. There's no conclusive evidence that Activision is working on or plans to work on a Warzone mobile port or mobile version.

Meanwhile, Warzone‘s and Call of Duty‘s competitors have also been moving to mobile. One of the most anticipated mobile battle royale games is Apex Legends Mobile, which is currently in development by TencentThe Division Mobile also arrives in the next couple of years, Ubisoft announced.
