Indianapolis Colts' kicker Adam Vinatieri may be coming off of arguably the most disappointing game of his career, but the 46-year-old still wants to return for another season, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

In the Divisional Round of the playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend, Vinatieri missed a 23-yard field goal at the end of the first half and later missed an extra point.

It didn't make much of a difference, as the Chiefs thumped the Colts by a score of 31-13, but it was a shocking game for a guy who is considered by many to be the most clutch kicker in NFL history.

“Have a couple little things body-wise that I want to get checked out and make sure we're all good and moving forward,” Vinatieri said this past week. “I haven't made a decision yet, to be honest with you. … If they want to talk, I'm willing to listen, that's for damn sure.”

So, basically, if the Colts want Vinatieri back, it seems like he will return.

Do they want him back, though?

Unless they feel that his Divisional Round performance was the beginning of the end, I don't see why not.

During the regular season, Vinatieri made 23 of his 27 field-goal attempts, going 4-of-6 from 50 yards and beyond and nailing a 54-yarder.

Vinatieri has been with the Colts for 13 years, making one Pro Bowl appearance in 2014.

Of course, Vinatieri is most known for his legendary 10-year run with the New England Patriots, where he made countless clutch kicks in helping lead the Patriots to three Super Bowl titles during his tenure.
