Per Todd Archer of ESPN, Presscot will earn a raise of $1.3 million next season. This is due to the NFLPA's proven-performance escalator for playing in more than 35 percent of possible offensive snaps in two of his first three campaigns.

He was going to make around $.72 million in the last year of his rookie deal. However, due to this escalator, he will now make 2.02 million unless the team agrees to a long term extension.

Prescott last season for the Cowboys was excellent. He threw for over 3,885 yards with 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His completion percentage was a very efficient 67.7 percent, and his quarterback rating sat at 58.6, the lowest mark of his career.

The Cowboys during last season went 10-6 and finished 1st in the NFL's NFC East Division. They averaged 21.2 points per game which ranked 22nd overall in the entire league. However, they averaged 20.3 points against. Their defense was one of the NFL's best.

The Cowboys were able to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs. The Seahawks refused to rely on their passing game at the end of the game. Instead, they preferred the running game late in the 4th quarter. Russell Wilson didn't have much say, and it ended up being their and his downfall.

The Cowboys then advanced to the divisional round. They lost to the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 30-22. Jared Goff and the Rams simply had too much offensive firepower. They eventually lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl LVIII.
