EA Motive is soon revealing a critically-acclaimed game series that'll make a comeback at this year's EA Play Live and it's none other than Dead Space.

In a report from GamesBeat, the game is not only a Dead Space remake but a remake that'll be taking notes and inspiration from Capcom's Resident Evil remakes.

Jeff Grubb from GamesBeat first teased back in March that EA Motive is already working on an “established IP” to which Eurogamer did confirm.

In a later stream, Grubb mentioned that EA Motive is revealing the game in the upcoming EA Play Live showcase on July 22. Fans then started to speculate as to what this game was and all signs pointed to Dead Space.

Now, Grubb has finally confirmed that the game is none other than Dead Space and that it is definitely a remake.

The reports say that EA Motive is taking heavy notes from the success that Capcom had with their Resident Evil remakes. Much like the fan-favorite Resident Evil 2 in 2019, Fans can expect that the remake will surely use the original game as a “strong foundation.”

We should expect the game to have modern visuals and brand new game mechanics that give an ode to the first Dead Space franchise.

The studio's latest release was Star Wars squadrons and was the studio's first major game developed in-house. The studio then confirmed that their next project will no longer be Star Wars related and will be “something pretty special.”

I guess they were right. A Dead Space Remake does sound pretty special.
