NCAA basketball just isn't the same without Dick Vitale, however, the man, the myth, and the living legend made some noise on Thursday after announcing he's defeated cancer. The March Madness tournament was missing Vitale, but maybe he returns next year?

Dick Vitale posted his massive accomplishment on social media. The legendary analyst and announcer claim the victory over cancer is his March Madness championship. It's a wonderful moment for Vitale and his family. We'll see what his next move will be, but for now, he is likely going to spend time with his family, especially during the college basketball offseason.

Thanks to Joey Knight, we have footage of Dick Vitale ringing the bell before leaving the hospital. It looks like multiple doctors and nurses, as well as friends and family, are all there to support Vitale in this awesome moment.

Vitale again makes a comparison to ringing the bell to winning a national championship in his response to Joey Knight's video. Now that cancer is behind him, maybe we'll see Dick Vitale return to announcing college basketball games next season. If not, that is completely understandable, as the long-time ESPN analyst may be ready for retirement.

Congratulations to Dick Vitale, hopefully, we see him return to the court and announce some games next year. He was likely itching to get on the microphone during March Madness, but hey, we're just glad Dickie V is back in action. Keep an eye on the legendary announcer, as he might come back soon.
