The Anaheim Ducks snapped an 11-game losing skid on Friday night with a 5-0 win against the Arizona Coyotes, but things got chippy.

In the third period, Jay Beagle viciously attacked Ducks star Troy Terry, who is notably lighter than him, throwing numerous blows to his face which resulted in a ton of blood. While both players were handed fighting penalties, Beagle was also given a cross-checking penalty and game misconduct. Terry eventually had to leave the ice with a towel on his face to try and stop the bleeding.

Beagle first cross-checked Ducks star Trevor Zegras then once Terry came in, he immediately started throwing punches at him. It was a scary scene. It's unknown if Terry suffered any serious injuries, but the fact that he was bleeding so much is certainly not a good sign.

Terry is in the midst of a fantastic season for the Ducks, scoring 31 goals and registering 26 assists in 64 games. He leads the team with 57 points. Zegras, one of the brightest young stars in the NHL, also has 17 goals and 33 assists. Anaheim is far out of contention for the playoffs at this point, but Terry and Zegras are undoubtedly the future for this franchise. Terry was simply trying to come in and stand up for his teammate, but it ended up getting ugly instead.

Let's hope he's okay.
