Dwyane Wade has achieved plenty in his NBA career — three NBA championships, two Olympic gold medals, a scoring title and 12 All-Star appearances.

But throughout his career, he's lost plenty of steam, some due to age, some due to injuries — but he remains a near-20-point-a-night scorer and someone opposing coaches have to gameplan for.

One of Wade's fans tweeted this on Tuesday, letting people know Wade still got it.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard replied to the high school senior with some of his own wisdom.

One of the things that has made Wade timeless, along with some of the greats, is his ability to adapt to where he is in his career.

A lot of NBA players are hellbent on regaining their natural athletic gifts they once had, instead of embracing their shortcomings and making something positive out of it.

Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, all of them became better shooters as their careers wore on because they realized that they had to retain their lethality in some aspect in order to still be able to impact the game.

This is isn't the Wade that proudly starred in the Converse commercial “fall down seven times, stand up eight” years ago, but he is still an able scorer that will carve defenses if left to his own devices.

Dwyane Wade averaged 19 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in his last season with the Miami Heat, but turned it up in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Toronto Raptors, scoring 23.9 points per game while shooting 50% from deep.
