The Wizards franchise has been around since 1961. The organization was originally called the Chicago Packers but only held that title for one year before becoming the Chicago Zephyrs.

The Baltimore Bullets, Capital Bullets and Washington Bullets were the other three names the franchise had before the organization settled on the Washington Wizards in 1997.

For this piece, we take a look at every trade deadline move the franchise has made since 1961.

1969-70

The Baltimore Bullets traded Bob Quick and a 1970 2nd round draft pick to the Detroit Pistons for Eddie Miles and a 1970 4th-round draft pick.

1979-80

The Washington Bullets sent Roger Phegley to the New Jersey Nets for John Williamson and a 1981 2nd round draft pick.

1991-92

The Washington Bullets dealt Tom Hammonds to the Charlotte Hornets for Rex Chapman.

2000-01

The Washington Wizards traded Calvin Booth, Obinna Ekezie and Juwan Howard to the Dallas Mavericks for Courtney Alexander, Hubert Davis, Christian Laettner, Etan Thomas, Loy Vaught and cash.

2009-10

The Wizards sent Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson to the Dallas Mavericks for Drew Gooden, Josh Howard, Quinton Ross and James Singleton.

Washington then traded Drew Gooden to the Los Angeles Clippers and Antawn Jamison to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Wizards got Al Thornton from the Clippers and Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Emir Preldžić and a 2010 1st round draft pick from the Cavs. The team finished the 2010 trade deadline by dealing Dominic McGuire and cash to the Sacramento Kings for a 2010 2nd round draft pick.

2010-11

The Wizards traded Hilton Armstrong and Kirk Hinrich to the Atlanta Hawks for Mike Bibby, Jordan Crawford, Maurice Evans and a 2011 1st round draft pick.

2011-12 lockout year

Washington dealt Nick Young to the Los Angeles Clippers for Brian Cook and a 2015 2nd round draft pick.

The Wizards also traded JaVale McGee and Ronny Turiaf to the Denver Nuggets for Nene.

2012-13

Washington sent Jordan Crawford to the Boston Celtics for Leandro Barbosa and Jason Collins.

2013-14

The Wizards traded Eric Maynor to the Philadelphia 76ers for a 2014 2nd round draft pick.

Washington also dealt Jan Veselý to the Denver Nuggets for Andre Miller.

2014-15

The Wizards sent Andre Miller to the Sacramento Kings for Ramon Sessions.

2015-16

Washington traded DeJuan Blair, Kris Humphries and a 2016 1st round draft pick to the Phoenix Suns for Markieff Morris.

2016-17

The Wizards dealt Andrew Nicholson, Marcus Thornton and a 2017 1st round draft pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Bojan Bogdanović and Chris McCullough.

2017-18

Washington traded Sheldon Mac and cash to the Atlanta Hawks for a 2019 2nd round draft pick.

2018-19

The Wizards sent Otto Porter to the Chicago Bulls for Jabari Parker, Bobby Portis and a 2023 2nd round draft pick.

Washington also dealt Markieff Morris, cash and a 2023 2nd round draft pick to the New Orleans Pelicans for Wesley Johnson.

2019-20

The Wizards traded Jordan McRae to the Denver Nuggets for Shabazz Napier.

Washington also sent Issuf Sanon to the New York Knicks and Isaiah Thomas to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Wizards acquired Jerome Robinson from the Clips.
