Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel hasn't been afraid to be bold after recently being hired. McDaniel promised to get the most out of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, then recently made a bold claim involving wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, even invoking his fantasy football outlook to do so, via NBC Sports.
“I talked with him [the day after being hired] and he understands his leadership role on this team,” McDaniel said, via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. “The easiest way to get yards is to give it to a really talented player. I would start him in fantasy.”
Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said that he spoke to Jaylen Waddle about his “leadership role” on the team. McDaniel then said the best way to get yards is to “give it to a really talented player”, which is also a great way to rack up fantasy football points. The new head coach then provided an exciting quote on Waddle's fantasy outlook.
He said to “start him in fantasy.” That's an exciting statement on Waddle's fantasy outlook, as the 23-year-old finished as fantasy football's PPR WR13 as a rookie. If the Dolphins wideout is going to build on that in year two, then he will be a very popular pick on draft boards next fall.
