The much awaited Special Event Livestream for Genshin Impact Version 2.7 has finally been announced! It also all but confirms the featured 5 stars for the incoming patch, as well as clear up some of the confusions about the update.
The stream will occur on May 20th at 8:00 AM UTC according to the official announcement. The program will be viewable on the official Twitch account. The VOD of the stream will be available on the official YouTube channel at 12:00PM UTC.
The announcement will feature the English voice actors for Itto and Yelan, along with Aether’s. On the Japanese announcement, Xiao’s voice actor is also involved, confirming the leaks that Xiao, Yelan, and Itto will be the featured 5 star characters for Genshin Impact 2.7.
In a separate post, HoYoverse apologized for the inconvenience that the delay has caused. They also laid out when the update will occur: May 31st, 2022. Contrary to the rumors, it seems that 2.7 will run for the whole 6 weeks.
The current Kamisato Ayaka banner, the Weapon Event Banner, and “Test Run” event will all end before the maintenance begins. All other events will not have their end times changed.
The Placement Function in the Serenitea Pot will also be fixed by the end of the Genshin Impact 2.7 update. Travelers can now return to customizing their Serenitea Pots.
