The Traveler's adventure continues as they embark upon the journey of meeting Genshin Impact‘s The Seven Archons. Their next stop is Inazuma, the land permeated by the element of Electro. The God of Eternity, the Electro Archon, Baal, openly rules the region as the Raiden Shogun.

The Electro Element permeates the environment in Inazuma. There’s a diversity of plants, animals, and creatures that are only exclusive to this region. As gorgeous as it may seem with its purple Japanese aesthetic elements, you will encounter never-before-seen danger here. Some of these might even make exploring Monstadt and Liyue seem like a cakewalk. With this in mind, we believe you should be prepared for what lies ahead. We've put together a guide on the most important new features of these mysterious islands.

Genshin Impact Travel Tips in exploring Inazuma

Tip #1: Summon the Electrogranum through the Thunder Sakura Bough

The Thunder Sakura Bough is a sacred small tree resembling a real-life bonsai that can be used to summon the Electrogranum. The Electrogranum is a limited-time companion that will assist the traveler through the perilous lands of Inazuma.

Tip #2: Upgrade your Electrogranum by visiting the Sacred Sakura Tree in Grand Narukami Shrine

Atop the Grand Narukami Shrine is the Sacred Sakura Tree. The scenery is something to behold and apart from its beauty, it also empowers the Electrogranum making it more effective as a travel guide. Make sure to visit the shrine as empowering your Electrogranum will assist you in so many ways.

Tip #3: Traverse through difficult slopes using the Thunder Spheres

The Electrogranum has several benefits when it comes to exploration with one of them being the ability to access the Thunder Spheres. These floating beacons allow the Traveler carrying an Electrogranum to blink towards the direction of the Thunder Spheres. This resembles Keqing’s Elemental skill, Stellar Restoration, minus the damage. This kit allows for interesting methods of traversing through difficult landscapes.

Thunder Barriers and Balethunders

Tip #4: Get around Thunder Barriers

As a way to make traveling more challenging, there is the presence of the Thunder Barriers blocking you from obtaining treasure or from just simply reaching a destination. The only way to pass through is if you’re carrying an Electrogranum. However, you should take note of the symbols on the Thunder Barriers as they represent the strength-level of the Electrogranum required, with some being stronger than others. Hence, we should stress again the importance of upgrading your Electrograna on the Sacred Sakura Tree.

Thunderstones are totems present on some Thunder Barriers damaging the Traveler but can be suppressed by the Electrogranum for a short period of time. This prevents the Traveler from staying inside the Thunder Barriers for too long.

Tip #5: Survive through the Balethunder

Some areas in this region are suffering from Balethunder, the constant state of being electro-charged. Be wary since this harms the traveler. Staying near a Thunderwood will guard the traveler against being constantly damaged by the Balethunder.

Bonus Tip: Follow the Electro Seelie

Follow the omnipresent Seelie, who seemed to have adapted to the harsh environment of Inazuma giving it the classic purple Electro form. They always guide you towards something good. There's even one rumored to lead players to treasures.

Inazuma brings out a whole new layer of gameplay and fresh, albeit more challenging forms of exploration. Depends on who’s looking, this to me is a showcase on the improvement of game development by miHoYo. Genshin Impact v2.0 really ups the ante in terms of exploration, and we can't wait to explore Inazuma together with the progression of the storyline.
