The Genshin Impact v2.0 Special Program previewed the upcoming events for the new patch. There's a lot of them, so we're going to talk about each one in detail in this article.

Our adventure to Inazuma will be filled with a lot of bountiful rewards unlocked by completing challenges. These rewards include Primogems, Ascencion Materials, EXP Materials, and even a free character. Thankfully, these events won't require a lot of effort to complete, allowing us to reap the rewards quite easily. Without further ado, here are the events Travelers can expect out of Genshin Impact v2.0.

Genshin Impact v2.0 Event Highlight: Thunder Sojourn

We start with our Event Highlight, Thunder Sojourn. As a lot of Travelers would know by now, Captain Beidou of the Crux Fleet will be helping the Traveler get into Inazuma. We discovered from the Archon Quest Chapter II: Prologue Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves that Captain Beidou holds a tournament. Traveler participated in this tournament and eventually came out on top. As a reward, Traveler requests Captain Beidou to bring them to Inazuma.

This tells us that Captain Beidou plays a significant role in Traveler's journey to Inazuma. Thus, it's only reasonable to get Beidou for free in the Thunder Sojourn Event. In this Genshin Impact event, players will need to defeat enemies under specific conditions. Completing each challenge will reward players with the event currency Thunder Pellets, along with the usual rewards like Primogems and Mora. Collect enough of these Thunder Pellets and you can redeem Captain Beidou. This is an easy way to have your own Beidou or to upgrade her constellation if ever you already have her in your party.

Thunder Sojourn Act I unlocks on July 22, with the following Acts unlocking on July 24, 27, and 30. Players will have until August 9 to earn all of the event's rewards.

Theater Mechanicus: Stage of Wonders

Theater Mechanicus returns because a lot of players liked playing it. But if you weren't able to play this before during Genshin Impact‘s Lantern Rite event, then don't feel bad. It's back for another second-round so you won't miss out! Theater Mechanicus is a tower defense mini-game. It plays out almost the exact way it did when it first appeared in Liyue, with a few minor changes. Taking part in the event will have you constructing obstacles to slow down enemies. You will also have access to buffs and mechanici that will help you complete this event's challenges. We don't know the specifics of this event, but it will surely bring Primogems to those who complete the challenge!

Phantom Flow

Phantom Flow will test players' abilities in return for Primogems, Mora, EXP materials, and Talent Level-Up Materials. We also don't know a whole lot about this event yet, but it looks like it's going to make use of the Sword Hilt Challenges you see around the Map. Completing the challenges will require you to harness the “world's gentlest martial art, Shinryuu.” It also looks like these challenges will make sure of Electrogranums, a new gameplay mechanic coming to Genshin Impact version 2.0.

Ley Line Overflow

During this event, completing Ley Line Blossom of Wealth or Revelations can give players double the rewards. This version of Ley Line Overflow works the same way it did earlier this year. Collect your Fragile Resins and craft them into Original Resin to prepare for this event. While this event is active, you can double your rewards from these Ley Line Blossoms by using Original Resin to collect them. You can do these up to three times a day.

Lost Riches

Finally, we have the Lost Riches event. A Treasure-Finding Seelie becomes the Traveler's new companion in Inazuma. This is again another re-run event, as Lost Riches also arrived before earlier this year. Just like before, the Treasure-Finding Seelie will lead the player to treasures – just as the name suggests.

The Lost Riches event will run from August 6 to August 16, 2021. Genshin Impact players will have a lot of time to collect these treasures – and earn the bounty from them.
