Genshin Impact 2.1 will kick off with the Hyakunin Ikki limited-time event. It will be a true test of prowess for players, as they will be forced to think hard about their builds. Travelers will only be able to build teams of up to two characters, using these two to kick enemy butts within a time limit.

Hyakunin Ikki will run from September 2, 2021, to September 13, 2021. To partake in the event, Travelers will have to have completed the quest Ritou Escape Plan. During this event, Travelers can take part in the free-for-all fighting tournament called Hyakunin Ikki. Travelers can show off elegant combat skills by defeating opponents in tag teams of two characters. By reaching target scores, Travelers can obtain rewards such as the event-exclusive namecard style “Celebration: Ikki”, Primogems, and more.

To clear Hyakunin Ikki quickly, be sure to think about your best two-man teams this early. Our suggestion is to match an Anemo user with a Catalyst of a different element if you want to focus on dealing elemental reaction damage. If you want to deal a lot of physical damage, then you can match two Physical ATK Pyro characters. Finally, you can also match a Physical ATK character with a Geo character, to deal hybrid damage. The perfect team will be entirely dependent on the characters you have and the builds your characters own. It'll be good for you to think about pairings this early.
