The New York Giants received a ton of grief for taking Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick last April, but his teammates seem happy with the selection. Dan Duggan of The Athletic polled 29 Giants players about what player has been the most impressive during training camp, and there were plenty that voted Jones.

Wide receiver T.J. Jones said he was most impressed with the way the rookie QB has been able to bounce mistakes. Even if he fumbles the football Jones doesn't hang his head and bounces back quickly from the mistake.

“From a receiver aspect, I think D.J. (Daniel Jones) has been great. Not saying that all the other quarterbacks haven’t been because they all have – they’ve all made the throws when the throws mattered. But just seeing a young guy come in with poise, being able to handle some mistakes – fumbles, whatever – and come back and still score on the same drive or the next drive, I think it’s great. That’s a characteristic that a lot of players take time to build into later in their career. To see him come in with it, it’s exciting. I’m happy for him as a person to be able to handle adversity well at a young age.”

Wide receiver Reggie White Jr. shared similar thoughts, and has been impressed because he hasn't listened to the critics. He has worked hard and has really worked on improving his game since OTAs.

“Definitely Daniel (Jones). He’s had all the critics saying, ‘He can’t do this. He can’t do that.’ He’s just shown day-by-day, making throws, making adjustments. You can tell he really made a big leap from OTAs until now. I’m excited for the season to see what he can do.”

It still appears that Eli Manning will be the starter once the season rolls around in a little over a week, but if he were to go down, or the team was to make a change, the team has faith that Jones can come in and lead the team to success.
