The 2017 NFL season was one to forget for New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. However, in order to move on, he will need a bit of incentive from his organization this offseason.

There has been looming talks about a long-term deal for some time now. According to Dan Duggan of NJ Advance Media for NJ.com, Beckham Jr. would rather it get done sooner rather than later:

“It’s that time just to get it over with,” Beckham said. “I really want to do it so I can move past it. It’s too much sitting around thinking, ‘Where am I going to be at?’ I need to know where I can start buying furniture for a house. I want to have a place set where I know, ‘OK, this is home. I can always go back to home.’ So it’s just a little intermediate process right now. I’m sure it will get worked out.”

Beckham Jr. has been one of the most electrifying players in the NFL over the past several years. As a result, he likely expects to be paid as such.

The star wideout has taken his fair share of scrutiny throughout his career for his boisterous personality. At the same time, there is no denying that Beckham Jr. is as good as it gets when it comes to the wide receiver position after making three Pro Bowls in his first four seasons.

He has even proven to be a solid recruiter after his recent Instagram post regarding Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell's potential future as a Giant. Odell Beckham Jr. will look to a brighter 2018 with the New York Giants than the entire organization experienced in 2017.
