The New York Giants have continued to their tumble down the standings dropping their seventh game in the first eight contests to begin the year.

This has pushed the team even further in the rumor mill with the Oct. 30 trade deadline fast approaching. With that in mind, head coach Pat Shurmur has voiced that he doesn't think that Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. or safety Landon Collins will be moved this season, according to Ralph Vacchiano of Sportsnet New York.

The playoffs may be out of the picture for the Giants, but the team doesn't appear that they want to bail on their star players have been building blocks on both sides of the ball. Although Beckham Jr. has continued to create headlines with his comments off the field, he is without a doubt their No.1 receiving option in the passing game and has proven that on a weekly basis. He is putting together another stellar campaign as he's currently second with 61 catches and fourth with 785 receiving yards along with two touchdowns.

Beckham Jr. has notched more than 100 receiving yards five times while hauling in six or more catches all but once in the first eight games played. He has more than shown that he is past any injury concerns from the broken ankle that he suffered last season. Meanwhile, Collins has been an anchor in the secondary for the Giants behind his steady play. He currently has 62 total tackles with a forced fumble and four pass deflections. He has been a reliable factor in the secondary throughout his career with the franchise even through the struggles over the last two seasons.

The Giants have already made a few moves over the last several days, which could set the table for more to come before the trade deadline. However, it appears that both Beckham Jr. and Collins will stay put.
