The New York Giants finished up their fifth straight losing season with a loss to the Washington Football Team in Week 18. As expected, New York's players were bombarded with questions about head coach Joe Judge's status. With Judge reportedly in the building meeting with players, Giants star Saquon Barkley was asked about Judge's status and responded rather awkwardly.

Saquon Barkley said he “didn't know how to answer the question” about Joe Judge's status as head coach of the Giants. Now, that's a ringing endorsement.

Barkley, all too familiar with the New York media, was likely just trying to answer the question on Judge's status with as boring an answer as possible. Hence the “same as it was yesterday” answer.

Well, “yesterday” featured one of the more embarrassing moments in Giants franchise history on Judge's watch, as New York opted for a quarterback sneak on a third-and-long on their own goal line. Yes, Judge was the head coach “yesterday”, but it certainly wasn't a sure thing.

Just as Barkley's answer to the question on Judge's status was no sure thing. If recent reports out of East Rutherford are to be believed, Giants players are fed up with Judge as their head coach.

That could mean that Judge, who was the head coach yesterday, might not be the head coach today and tomorrow.
