Despite the NBA community having their eyes set on the ongoing NBA Finals, there are also some players who are already looking forward to free agency and considering the teams they may play for next.
One of them is Gordon Hayward, who is expected to receive a lot of interest from teams around the league. Even with the Utah Jazz favored to re-sign him, there have been reports that he is looking into the possibility of joining the Miami Heat, among a number options, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
The Heat are coming off a campaign where they missed out on the playoffs only because of a tie-breaker. Even without any legitimate star, they were able to win 30 of their last 41 games and proved that their culture is the key for them to become a playoff team.
Should Hayward ultimately decide to take his talents to South Beach, he has the chance to lead a young and promising squad, and become the star that he is capable of becoming.
