The Grizzlies were without star point guard Ja Morant on Tuesday due to an injury. However, the team fared just fine as they crushed the Pacers by a final score of 135-102.

Memphis entered the game as 7.5-point favorites and they easily covered that spread. The Grizzlies utilized a complete team effort in the win, as almost everybody who played stepped up in one way or another.

Desmond Bane led the charge with 21 points and 6 assists. Jaren Jackson Jr. contributed 19 points and 8 rebounds while big man Steven Adams posted a 13 point, 13 rebound double-double. Memphis finished the game with seven different players in double-digit scoring figures.

The Grizzlies were incredibly efficient on offense all night long as they shot 51.4 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from beyond the arc. Additionally, they totaled a jaw-dropping 38 total team assists compared to just 10 turnovers. They caused plenty of havoc on defense as they forced 20 Indiana turnovers in the contest.

This outing was a testament to how deep their roster is. There are many teams in the NBA who would crumble after losing their best player, especially when that best player is averaging 27.5 points per game. But this is a Memphis team that plays as a complete unit. But the Grizzlies also received good news prior to the game, as the Morant injury is not believed to be anything too serious.

With the win, Memphis has passed Golden State for sole possession of second place in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies will enjoy a two day rest period before taking the court once again on Friday in Atlanta against the Hawks.
