The Atlanta Hawks' preseason campaign got off to a rough start with star Trae Young exiting their game against the Miami heat after suffering a quad injury. The All-Star had to leave the game in the third quarter after getting hit on his right thigh before falling on the floor and eventually limped his way out of the court.

Young was ruled out of the game and wasn't able to make a return as the team wanted to be cautious about their superstar's health. But, according to the 23-year-old, there's nothing to really worry about.

“I'll be good. Trust me.” Young told Sarah K Spencer of AJC after the game.

The Hawks faithful should definitely be relieved with Young's update. The Atlanta star has battled through several leg injuries in his young career in the NBA and has always successfully bounced back. The most recent one was an ankle injury that slowed him down in last season's playoff match-up with eventual champs the Milwaukee Bucks.

Knowing the nature of these injuries, it might be smart for the Hawks to keep resting their main gunner so Young can take things slow. The Hawks would need Young to be at 100% once the season starts to hopefully help the franchise make another playoff run.
