The Atlanta Hawks have a five-year, $125 million offer out to restricted agent John Collins, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick.

However, it appears Collins is still hoping to get more. The young big man sees himself as a max-level player, so he seems to be holding out for a chance to get an even bigger offer. Whether that actually comes, though, seems doubtful.

There aren't many teams with substantial cap space left, and the Hawks don't appear to be interested in a sign-and-trade deal at this time. Atlanta is probably figuring it can wait out Collins and he'll wind up returning on this current offer.

Collins is an excellent young player, but a max deal for him would be a bit hefty at this point. The 23-year-old averaged 17.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists this past season. He shot 55.6% from the field and 39.9% from 3-point range.

In the Hawks' playoff run to the Eastern Conference Finals, Collins' numbers dipped to 13.9 points and 8.7 rebounds in 32.0 minutes per game. He shot 54.9% from the field and 35.7% from 3-point range.

Atlanta would surely love to have John Collins back after giving Trae Young his huge extension. It's just a matter of Collins agreeing to a new deal. Now we wait!
